Gilligames announces official release date - February 2, 2007

Gilligames has recently announced the official release date of Shady O'Grady's Rising Star as March 1, 2007 and are taking pre-orders now on their web site. Additionally, the entire list of equipment that will ship with Shady O'Grady's™ Rising Star is now available for public viewing! All 801 items can be inspected here. For those who have ever dreamed about being a rock star, it promises to be a lot of fun - and for musicians serious about making it big - very educational as well.

All and all it looks like an excellent quality game featuring real venues, real music gear and great music by independent artists (like Tumbledown). And well worth the wait!

Shrapnel Games will not publish Shady O'Grady's Rising Star - January 9, 2007

It has come to my attention that the link to Shady O'Grady's Rising Star video game below (10/18/06) no longer works. I have contacted Todd Gillisee (Gilligames), the creator of the game and discovered that Shrapnel Games has decided not to produce the game. Not to worry! After looking at numerous other options, Gilligames has decided to publish the game themselves. According to Todd, the game is completed and ready to go, but the last-minute severing of their partnership with Shrapnel has caused production delays. Information about the game and it's status can now be found here. We wish Todd well in this venture and are still looking forward to the final product! (OK, so we're selfishly looking forward to hearing our tunes in the game, too).

Tumbledown tunes to be featured in video game! - October 18, 2006

Shrapnel Games has selected two Tumbledown songs to be included in the latest edition of Shady O’Grady’s Rising Star, a Windows RPG (Role Playing Game) for wanna-be rock stars. The Right Thing To Do and Make It Up To You will both be featured along with songs from other Indie bands and artists. We’ll keep you posted on the release date of this new version. Alan jams with blues legend Eddie Kirkland! - October 16, 2006

Alan had the rare opportunity to participate in an open jam with blues legend Eddie Kirkland at Cherries in Farmington, Maine Saturday night, along with several other local artists. The previous night, Eddie had performed both solo and with a full band at the Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington. "It was a thrill and an honor to play with an artist that has been around for so long and is so respected in the music world." said Alan of the experience. Pictures of the event will be posted in the photo gallery in the next few days.

New music added - October 12, 2006

We have redesigned the Music section of the web site and added a new song. The songs that are on our soon-to-be-released CD Sail Away are now grouped together and are in the same order they will be in on the CD.

We have also added a new section called Demos which we will put downloadable demo versions of new songs that will be available on our next CD. Check out the song "Brand New Day" that was added today.

Photo Gallery and Short Bio added - October 8, 2006

In the last few days, we have added a photo gallery. More pictures will be forthcoming. We have also added a short bio of the band - basically who Tumbledown is and the supporting musicians. An extended bio is in the works and will be posted soon.

OK, so we've got a ways to go before it's complete, but it's a beginning. There will be much more added in the days to come.
